This is my 1984 Larson 17 foot Open Bow Runabout boat. I bought it from a guy in upstate New York in October of 2002. He had barely used it and it was in sitting a garage waiting for someone to clean it up and give it a good home. He listed it on eBay and I jumped on it. It has a 70 hp Mercury Outboard w/ power tilt/trim that runs great. It came w/ all kinds of gear too. Over the winter I took it apart and stored it in my barn. I bought the following items that I'm planning on installing this Spring: Uniden VHF Radio/Antenna, replacement factory speedometer, Digital Depth Finder, Compass, Garmin Handheld GPS w/ mount, and assorted safety gear including a new bilge pump. I'm a former sailor so this should be interesting. (My first sailboat is still on-line at: www.potter-yachters.org/stories/AvidSalr.htm.)

The seats have been recovered and have storage underneath. It is rated for 5 people but has seating for 7-8.

The boat needs a good cleaning and some attention but should be a perfect for day trips on the Chesapeake Bay and Patuxet River. It has a pretty shallow draft as you can see below.
