CAMERA TIPS

Camera SD CARDS must be in UNLOCKED MODE

Switch in UP position - see below.

1. Be sure to Power OFF camera before removing SD cards for LOG & Xfer via USB Card Reader.

2. Be sure to FORMAT each SD card in camera BEFORE shooting, which erases previous clips left on card.

FORMAT SD CARD: pg 13 Power CAMERA ON>MENU > OPERATION>CARD FORMAT>SLOT 1 or 2>YES

CHECK ALL THE SETTINGS ON CAMERA and do a TEST RECORD!

PLAYBACK a clip by switching camera function from CAM to CLIP on Back of camera.

INSTRUCTOR's BIO: Brian Leonard has a long and distinguished career in the television and motion picture industries. For over 35 years he has made successful web content, programming and media marketing for both the big and small screens. He is an Emmy Award-winning producer, network executive and program developer who is currently running his own production company, Normandy Films. As the VP of Programming & Development and Executive Producer at Travel Channel, Leonard supervised productions on a wide variety of original series including “Breaking Borders,” “Hotel Impossible,” “America Declassified,” “Making Monsters,” “Man Finds Food.” Leonard has created, produced, written and directed hundreds of hours of TV for Discovery, History, ESPN, Fox, Military Channel, CBS, PBS, and more. He won the 1998 Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Non-Fiction Special for Discovery Channel’s "VIETNAM POWs: Stories of Survival," Discovery’s first ever Emmy. For the Academy Award-winning film “APOLLO 13”, Leonard executive produced Conquering Space: The Moon & Beyond, a new bonus material documentary for the Anniversary DVD. A stint at ESPN began in April 2000 where Leonard was the Series Producer of ESPN's award winning, primetime investigative series "Outside the Lines,” where he was tasked with expanding the episodes produced per year from two to twelve. Prior to that he worked on Fox’s “America’s Most Wanted” in numerous roles and was Co-Executive Producer of America's Most Wanted: FINAL JUSTICE, which became the top-rated new reality series in syndication for the 1995-'96 season. In Hollywood Leonard was the Manager of Creative Film Services at Walt Disney Studios, then at Universal Studios he was the Assistant Director of the Feature Trailer Department. Brian Leonard is a veteran (USMC 1976-79) who lives with his wife in Maryland. Some industry awards include Primetime Emmy, Sigma Delta Chi (Society of Professional Journalists), Clio, Gracie Allen Award, Genesis, 2 New York Festivals “Best Series” (ESPN’s “OTL”), Cine Golden Eagle, Peer Award, NIHCM Foundation Health Care TV & Radio Journalism, Monitor, Art Directors of Los Angeles, Art Directors Club of Houston, 3 Hollywood Reporter Key Arts.
